Meet The Artisan
Being a native of the state of Guerrero, Jorge Alberto had interest since he was young in the wood working craft. He was especially influenced by his grandparents and his family who work wood. He considers himself "a lover of handcrafts" and he is committed to his state to show abroad what they can do with wood. He manufactures and sells to many different places in Mexico and it is his goal to conquer borders and share the love of his craft.
The Great Guamúchil Tree
The guamúchil tree is a native tree to Jalisco, where these dishes are made. The tree produces wood with beautiful grains and rich colors, and they don't require replanting as the trees grow very quickly thanks to rapid growth and fast-germinating seeds.
