The Berbers, the indigenous people of North Africa, are credited with the invention of couscous. Ideal for their nomadic lifestyle, it can be easily prepared, cooked quickly, and provide sustenance during long journeys. Over time, couscous has become a central part of Moroccan cuisine, with various regional variations emerging. Couscous is generally served with vegetables and cooked in a spicy or mild broth and sometimes served with meat such as chicken or lamb.

Add color to your dinner table with our soothing teal, arresting red, bright white, or rich navy. The colors will brighten up your Couscous dish providing awe and wonder to the table. This platter doesn't have to be limited to couscous it can be used as a fruit bowl, salad bowl and/or desserts!

How they are made

Our couscous platter is formed from the rich, red Moroccan soil of Wadi Lan, and then decorated with a lead-free glaze.

Dimensions & Care

Hand-wash only - not dishwasher safe. Due to the porous nature of the terra-cotta, it is normal to see fine feathering cracks in the glaze.
